I’m thrilled to share that CRediTas has passed peer review and been accepted to rOpenSci as well as to CRAN. I am glad to acknowledge the editor Emily Riedered and the two reviewers Marcelo S. Perlin and João Martins. Their comments and support were really insightful. CRediTas is a tiny package to facilitate the tedious job of creating CRediT authors statements for scientific publications.

I’m thrilled to share that waywiser, my R package focused on providing framework-agnostic (but tidymodels-friendly) methods for assessing models fit to spatial data ¹ , has passed peer review and been accepted to rOpenSci.

rOpenSci is very excited to announce our first peer-reviewed statistical Rpackages! One of rOpenSci’s core programs is software peer-review, where we use bestpractices from software engineering and academic peer-review to improvescientific software. Through this, we aim to make scientific software morerobust, usable, and trustworthy, and build a supportive community of practitioners.

The online survey system Qualtrics can be a great way to collect data from research participants, customers, and stakeholders. I use it frequently to conduct research studies with participants or just to poll students and collaborators.

Anyone can contribute a software package to the rOpenSci suite as long as it fits our scope (research lifecycle software and statistical software) for a transparent, constructive, nonadversarial and open review.
