Finnish Scholarly Journals Online Launches

The Federation of Finnish Learned Societies has launched its new Finnish Scholarly Journals Online platform, a national portal for the best of Finnish scholarship. The site currently features 35 journals covering a broad range of topics, and includes archives going back multiple years.

We are pleased that they chose to use OJS 3.0, the latest version of our free, open source publishing software and that they will be contributing their Finnish translation of OJS back to us.

This is a valuable example of how a national community of scholars, librarians, and technologists can come together to build the foundational infrastructure for controlling their work.

We'll continue to work closely with them, learning from their experiences using OJS as a national platform, and developing enhancements that will benefit our global community.
