Biography

Dr Georg Fischer studied Sociology of Technology and Science at TU Berlin. For his PhD, he examined the relationship between German Copyright Law and creativity in sample-based music culture.
His research interests include media industries (including the academic publising landscape), Copyright Law, collecting societies, Open Content licences (such as Creative Commons licenses) as well as qualitative and historical research methods.
Georg publishes academic and journalistic pieces, as well as blog posts.
