Cameron Neylon is an independent researcher and consultant on open research, research evaluation and reform, research policy and institutional design. From 2015-2025 he was Professor of Research Communication at the Centre for Culture and Technology at Curtin University and co-lead of the Curtin Open Knowledge Initiative. Prior to Curtin Cameron was the first Director of Advocacy at the Public Library of Science. Writing includes the Principles of Open Scholarly Infrastructure, the altmetrics manifesto and the books Open Knowledge Institutions and Reading Peer Review as well as many articles on open access, open knowledge and scholarly communications.
