Biography

Biography

For the past ten years, I have worked with diverse stakeholders in open science, focusing on the provision and implementation of persistent identifiers (PIDs). In my current role as Head of PID and Metadata Services at TIB, I lead efforts to support and expand the use of PIDs in research infrastructure. We are leading the national DOI and ORCID consortia and actively advise and assist German universities, research institutes, and funders in the adaption of persistent identifiers within international best practice guidelines. Other activities include facilitating the adoption of increased PID metadata quality and contributing to metadata enrichment efforts through the Collaborative Metadata Enrichment Taskforce (COMET), strengthening connections between research outputs, organizations, and researchers to enhance interoperability and discoverability in open science. As DataCite's Director of Operations & Finance, I engage in strategic development for open research infrastructure in alignment with the POSI Principles and the Barcelona Declaration. This includes shaping the role of a PID provider within a broader PID network to ensure interoperability, sustainability, and accessibility in open science.
