Dimity Stephen is a post-doctoral researcher at the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW) in Berlin, Germany. She holds a bachelor’s in psychology and a PhD in public health from Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia. Dimity's main research focus lies in applying bibliometric methods to investigate questions pertaining to questionable publishing practices, peer review, and the quality of research outputs. She is currently leading a four-year, internationally collaborative project funded by the Volkswagen Foundation that examines the effect of research evaluation systems on researchers' publishing practices in six countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
