Building on the pioneering work of Myhrvold and Currie (1997), Darren Naish (circa 2003) conceived a theory of sauropod defence that has not been as widely accepted as he might have hoped. Sadly, other projects captured Naish’s attention, and his interest in writing up his theory waned.

This beauty is by Bryan Riolo, aka Algoroth on DeviantART, who also let me use his giant space Cthulhu for my Collect Call of Cthulhu over on Echo Station 5-7. Last month, over at Love in the Time of Chasmosaurs , David Orr wrote about the dinosaur conflicts he’d like to see, in place of the ubiquitous T . rex -vs.- Triceratops .  Among the fights he wanted to see was: 2. Four strategically placed Incisivosaurus vs. Giraffatitan : Two words: beaver style.
