We are happy to announce the brand-new R Consortium Multilingual Working Group.This Working Group came about after discussions during the R Project Sprint 2023 and will oversee the implementation of multilingual documentation support in R and organise community translation efforts.Our first project is the (experimental) rhelpi18n package, which adds multilingual documentation support!

I wrote previously about how to archive a Slack workspace. Well, now Slack announced a new policy, effective from August 26th, 2024. Under the new policy, messages and files older than one year in workspaces on the free tier will be deleted . This is in addition to the 90 day limit for viewing content in the workspace. This causes a problem with the solution I outlined previously.

Following the 2024 BHL meeting, and the departure of Martin Kalfatovic and the uncertainty the departure of such a pivitol person brings, perhaps it’s time to think about the future of BHL. Below I sketch some thoughts, which are hazy at best. I should say at the outset that I think BHL is an extraordinary project. My goal is to think about ways to enhance its utility and impact.

Cette limite est facilement franchie si vous voulez synchroniser les pièces jointes entre plusieurs appareils, et notamment les fichiers PDF des articles, que vous avez dans votre bibliothèque Zotero.
