Program Overview

The DataCite Consortia Partnership Program aims to create a supportive and collaborative environment for consortium leads to enhance their skills, exchange knowledge, and strengthen partnerships.

Objectives

The program objectives include:

1. Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and best practices among Consortium Leads.

2. Skills Development: Enhance leadership, communication, and project management skills.

3. Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment for sharing resources and addressing common challenges.

4. Community Building: Strengthen the sense of community among DataCite Consortium Leads.

Program Structure

The program will be developed under a cohort model, initially prioritizing the participation of organizations in GAP regions to ensure global representation and impact.

Key components of the program include:

1. Partnership Pairing: Match experienced Consortium Leads with less experienced counterparts based on expertise, goals, and challenges.
2. Orientation Session: Kickoff meeting to introduce participants, set expectations, and provide guidelines.
3. Regular Check-ins: Quarterly virtual meetings for partnership pairs to discuss progress, challenges, and goals.
4. Training Workshops: Workshops covering relevant topics such as leadership, consortium management, and community engagement.
5. Resource Sharing Platform: Shared Drive for sharing resources, templates, and best practices among Consortium Leads.
6. Collaborative Projects: Encourage partnership pairs to collaborate on specific projects or initiatives.

The DataCite Consortia Partnership Program is a unique opportunity for Consortium Leads to enhance their skills, expand their networks, and contribute to the advancement of best practices within their communities.

Applications are open for DataCite member organizations and individuals within organizations with the role of  Consortium Lead. Applicants can be based anywhere in the world. The matching process will consider time zones, languages, and expertise. The application deadline is April 12, 2024, at 23:59 PT.
