Jamie Wittenberg DataCite's New Board President

We are pleased to announce the election of Jamie Wittenberg as DataCite's new Board President, effective January 1, 2025. Jamie currently serves as Assistant Dean for Research & Innovation Strategies at the University of Colorado Boulder in the USA. She brings a wealth of experience and leadership to this role, having been an active member of the DataCite Board for several years. With a deep commitment to advancing open research and improving the accessibility of scholarly research outputs and resources, Jamie's leadership will guide DataCite through its next phase of growth and innovation.

Outgoing Board President, John Chodacki, expressed his support in the leadership transition, “It has been a privilege to serve as DataCite's Board President, and I am excited for Jamie to step into this important role. Her vision, coupled with a deep understanding of the research ecosystem, will serve DataCite well as we continue to expand our global impact.”
